When used correctly, technology can be a fun and exciting way to grow your business. Did I forget easy? Yes, technology can be easy. You can use teleseminars (if you know

how to use the phone), email marketing (if you write emails), website promotion, and electronic newsletters to get the word out about your business and to communicate with suspects, prospects, and customer.

As with anything else, you may not have any experience with using this form of marketing. That’s okay. Use this section and invest a bit of time learning about this new and exciting approach to marketing your business. Our authors describe how to use this approach and the benefits it can have for your business.

You should use these techniques to communicate with your customers regularly. You can announce special promotions, new products, new hires, and promotions, and discuss other aspects of your business that your customers want to hear about. You can use these techniques to reach out into new markets or inexpensively test different marketing approaches.

I use what is called a Content Management System (CMS) to update my website and submit it to Google® for indexing. Using this CMS system, all I have to do to update my website is login, make the change, and save my work. This is very cost-effective and convenient. Through my website I can also create an email newsletter that allows for very easy email marketing. The tough part is not the technology, but the creation of strong, effective, useful context.

The problem is that we sometimes hide behind technology. People find it hard to contact us. We become an email address or a web site to our customers and not a real person. With technology we can remove the people element without thinking about it.

In this section you will learn some great strategies to allow you to use technology to make contact and build effective, profitable relationships. When we use technology with good relationship strategies we have an incredible combination for building our business. Like everything else, you need to make a business decision on whether to use these tools in your marketing. Feel free to write in the margins if something looks interesting. Use your advisory board (from the Networking Section) to help with this if necessary. But learn about these powerful tools before you dismiss them. Savvy Internet marketers are making a lot of money, and so can you.
