Donating money to organizations and sponsoring events is a great way to generate publicity. Why else would big corporations spend millions of dollars to put their names on music halls and sponsor major charitable events? But if you are just starting your own law firm, consulting organization, or any other business, you probably don’t have the type of budget larger corporations such as Mellon Bank® and Gillette® have for philanthropy and/or advertising. However, there are ways to financially support your favorite charity or organization and drive traffic to your small business that cost less money than a local paper would charge you to run an ad.
